Spring has finally sprung and there are daffodils everywhere adding a much-needed bit of colour.  Now you can really start to make progress with your outside space so here are some tips about what you can do.

Light it up – with the better weather it’s tempting to stay outside in the evenings, so why not think about lighting up your space?  The longer days mean you can invest in some solar lighting, or create some ambience with old jam jars and tea-lights.  Just make sure that whatever you place outside is pet and/or child-friendly and securely fixed.

Lounging around – get ready for the better weather by bringing out your table and chairs, maybe giving them a good clean if needed.  If last year’s chairs are looking a bit tired why not try upcycling them with some quirky fabric, or adding some new seat pads?  You could even add just one new seat or chair to your collection to mix things up.  You can always visit your local garden centre for ideas and inspiration.

Easter treats – if you have children, why not put on an Easter egg hunt?  Don’t worry if you’re outside space isn’t very big – just get creative!  Pop them behind pots or containers, in with your herbs, or even under garden seats.  Be as silly as you can and have some fun!

Grown your own – this is the perfect month to plant any pot-grown fruit trees and bushes outside.  Don’t worry if the April showers are putting you off- you can still sow some seeds indoors such as marrows, courgettes, pumpkins and squash.

Product of the Month – The Ultimate Garden Fence Panel

As summer approaches, now is the time to replace any well-worn fencing. Whilst a highly decorative panel might not be for everyone, if you’re looking for a bit more than just your everyday lap panel design, Grange’s Ultimate Panel is sure to impress.

Grange Fencing

Designed by the UK’s leading fencing manufacturer, there’s a lot more to the Ultimate Panel than first meets the eye. Benefitting from a modern appearance, the ultimate panel comes with ultra straight cut slats and a smooth timber finish, enhancing its contemporary look and feel; this clever panel has been deemed a revolution in the lap panel market. Incorporating the latest fencing technology, the Ultimate Panel benefits from a neat, rebated frame – whereby timber slats slot snugly inside a solid panel frame – as well as sophisticated ‘mortise and tenon’ joints for enhanced stability. Designed to provide the highest levels of strength and durability on the lap panel market, the Ultimate Panel is more than capable of standing up to any unexpected stormy weather! Finished with a pressure treatment, the panel is protected against wood rot and decay to ensure a lasting performance for years to come.

When it comes to appearances, the Ultimate Panel takes the traditional lap panel to a whole new level. Manufactured using straight cut slats and boasting a super smooth fine sawn finish, this attention to detail means that you can achieve that high-end garden look at an affordable price. Available in a choice of four sizes, SRPs start at £23.99 and there is even the option of including the matching Ultimate Gate.
